The food and drink combination plays a significant role in shaping your overall dining experience, influencing it positively or negatively. When paired appropriately, your drink can complement your food and elevate your enjoyment.

We leveraged the expertise accumulated from operating delipair.com, a food-wine pairing website established in 2015, to develop ‘Delipair - Food and Wine’. Utilizing advancements in Machine Intelligence and increased processing capabilities on mobile devices, we created an offline application that is more robust and versatile than the server-based solution supporting the delipair.com platform.

Delipair's digital sommelier engine provides automatic recommendations by generating an aromatic fingerprint for your food and evaluating the strength of the aromatic bridge between the food and each known wine.

To formulate the food aromatic fingerprint, Delipair's digital sommelier utilizes insights acquired through analyzing 1.3 million recipes from various global cuisines, incorporating ingredients and aromatic molecules. This enables you to input a dish name directly from a restaurant menu or online cooking website, allowing Delipair's digital sommelier to decode its aromatic fingerprint using ingredient names or a combination of dish names and ingredients.

The aromatic fingerprints of wines were meticulously crafted in our laboratory through scientific analysis of hundreds of wines that align with specific wine profiles representing various grape varieties, vinification methods, and terroirs from wine regions. Our analysis involved gas chromatography techniques to achieve this discerning process.

Based on extensive research from online wine shops, we curated a comprehensive list of wine profiles to encompass the most popular wines available on the market along with a selection of intriguing wines that appealed to us.
